Artisan Media was founded in 2010 as a small business focussed on developing high quality Books and Videos in the crafts sector. We are passionate about bringing arts and crafts to a wider audience.
We work with highly respected teachers, authors and presenters to produce inspiring courses in many crafts. Our Books, DVDs and Videos sell worldwide and are available through our own web shop as well as through many specialist retailers and also from Amazon. Our fortnightly craft show Quilt Monkey is available on QNNtv.
We have recently moved offices and studio to Garway, a small village in Herefordshire, UK.
For our shop customers, we ship orders from either our US Depot in NY state or from our UK office, so shipping times as fast and charges are at domestic rates for USA and UK.
In addition to creating Artisan's own publications, we provide Video Production Services to a range of clients in the Arts and Crafts sectors.
Head of Video Production
Lynwen Brown has been working in film, television and theatre since leaving university.
Her first role was an apprenticeship making tv puppets (like Muppets) with Ultimate Animates. This led her to work in film, theatre, and ultimately television, where she trained as a cameraman.
After 10 years of doing a wide range of TV camerawork, Lynwen had a five year career break in the jungles of Belize where she developed a love for adventure film making. During this time in Belize she set up Bamboo Chicken Productions and made her first adventure film about a Belizean jungle guide's expedition to K2. Bamboo Chicken went on to win numerous international film awards.
Lynwen is a co-founder of Artisan Media which subsequently purchased Bamboo Chicken.
Dave Brown is a multiple award winning producer / director and film maker with 13 years of film making and broadcast TV experience. His background is in documentary film and his success has been based on being a good observer and strong story teller.
Dave is also a widely published photographer and he produces the photography for our books and for our clients. He has an eclectic collections of qualifications spanning photography, a BA in Politics and a Masters in Business & Logistics.
Prior to co-founding Artisan Media, Dave was MD of a Scottish production company.
